PROHAIRMen’s Hair Systems

London · August 2027 · Five UK salons

Add a new dimension to the work you already do.

Coming soon

You know the difference a considered haircut can make. Hair-system work builds on that craft with a different set of decisions: coverage, colour, construction, fit, blend and ongoing care.

Join Prohair’s proposed three-day London founding cohort and develop those skills in a small, practical learning environment. The August launch proposal covers training and Prohair-issued assessment/certification fees for five selected UK salon professionals.

Professional audience

Who this is for

Salon owners, employed stylists and approved independent professionals already competent in cutting hair, but new to hair-system installation and maintenance. You must be able to attend all required sessions, work within the programme’s safety and assessment standards, and accept the relevant participation terms.

What the three days are designed to develop

A more confident client conversation; sound system selection; hands-on fitting and cut-in; structured maintenance and aftercare; and a practical plan to introduce the service responsibly.

From Vancouver to your salon

Prohair’s next chapter will be shaped by professionals who understand their own communities. We are inviting UK salons to help establish that chapter through technical care and a considered client experience. London is a planned training launch, not a claim that an existing Prohair London branch is already open.

After the programme

Successful assessment leads to the named Prohair foundation certificate. Acceptance of the separate ambassador agreement activates the Global Brand Ambassador designation. Product access, wholesale accounts and directory inclusion require separate approval.

The credential is privately issued by Prohair. It is not a government licence or an independently accredited qualification.

Prohair Professional Hair-System Foundations

Three-day syllabus · Barcelona, January 2027 · London, August 2027

Curriculum review draft.

Proposed curriculum for review by the actual instructor, insurer and local host. It is not a government-accredited programme or approval to practise everywhere. The same learning and assessment standards apply in both cities; teaching language and location must be confirmed separately.

Existing hairdressers, barbers and salon professionals already competent in cutting and client care, who are new to non-surgical men’s hair-system services. This is not a three-day substitute for learning hairdressing from scratch.

Five delegates representing five salons per city. Three days with 21 proposed guided hours total. Exact dates and venue to be announced. Daily start/end times and breaks will be confirmed before enrolment. Guided hours include individual practice, feedback and assessment.

Learning outcomes

  • Conduct an appropriate, respectful hair-system consultation; document consent, scope and client expectations without diagnosing or treating medical hair loss.
  • Distinguish skin, lace and combination or reinforced constructions, and explain how documented colour, density, texture and coverage affect selection.
  • Record a proposed specification and fitting plan, follow product instructions and identify matters requiring referral or further supervision.
  • Prepare a suitable workstation, tools and approved adult live model; demonstrate correct handling, attachment, cut-in, blending and finish within the assessed foundation scope.
  • Explain and demonstrate appropriate removal, cleaning and refitting tasks, following the actual product directions rather than universal hold-time promises.
  • Give an individual aftercare and review plan, explain warning signs requiring stopping or referral, and document the work.
  • Plan a realistic salon service, appointment duration, costs and client follow-up without guaranteed earnings or unsupported results claims.
  • Understand the separate Prohair certificate, ambassador conduct and Professional-account application processes.

Before the event

Delegates receive the syllabus, scope, assessment rubric, accessibility and language arrangements, tools list and accurate included and excluded costs before accepting a place.

Actual systems must be matched to models before the class. Live-model consent is required; photography permission is separate and optional. Suitability, product instructions and aftercare responsibility must be confirmed by appropriately responsible people.

Assessment and pathway

Earn the credential. Represent the care.

Successful individual assessment against the published attendance, knowledge and practical requirements leads to the proposed Prohair Certified Hair System Professional — Foundation certificate. Attendance alone never issues the certificate.

  1. Participate in all required sessions and complete necessary evidence. Missed content must be made up before certification; attendance is not competence.
  2. Achieve at least 80% on the proposed knowledge check. This is a proposed Prohair standard, not an external authority’s threshold.
  3. Demonstrate all required practical competencies through individual observed work, including the full fitting and cut-in evidence on Day 2 and further checks on Day 3.
  4. Pass every critical checkpoint: informed consent, appropriate suitability escalation, safe workspace and tools, actual product-instruction compliance, and proper aftercare and stop guidance.
  5. Submit an appropriate case record and client-care plan. Client images are optional and require separate permission.
  6. Receive a documented assessor decision of Competent or Not Yet Competent. The latter requires a clear supervised-development or reassessment route, with any charges and time commitments disclosed before enrolment.

Proposed practical rubric

  • Consultation and consent
  • Specification and plan
  • Preparation
  • Fit and attachment
  • Cutting and blending
  • Removal and maintenance
  • Aftercare and records

This is a private Prohair credential, not an Ofqual qualification, Spanish official vocational award, independently accredited qualification or government licence. Local practice, insurance and business obligations remain separate.

Ambassador appointment is separate. It follows successful technical certification and acceptance of the approved ambassador agreement. The role does not itself create employment, paid commissions, exclusive territory, a franchise, guaranteed clients or an obligation to provide a positive testimonial.

Certified graduates and ambassadors may apply separately for Prohair Professional access, product supply, technical resources, continuing education, future professional-directory participation and wholesale terms. Approval is not automatic.

Programme questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need previous hair-system experience?

No previous system-installation experience is proposed as a prerequisite. Existing professional cutting and client-care skills are required; the course is not a complete beginner hairdressing qualification.

Is the programme free?

Training and Prohair-issued assessment and certification fees are proposed as funded for the selected 2027 launch cohort. The approved full offer will identify every required item and excluded expense before applications open. Travel and accommodation are proposed exclusions.

Why is Prohair doing this?

We are preparing to introduce the brand in Europe and want to begin with a small group of local professionals who understand the systems and the care behind the service.

Will I be certified simply by attending?

No. You must meet the published attendance, knowledge and individual practical assessment requirements. Where further development is needed, the assessor will explain the next steps.

Is this government-accredited?

No external recognition is claimed. The certificate is issued by Prohair for the stated programme and assessed scope. It does not replace local professional, insurance or business requirements.

When do I become an ambassador?

Only after successful technical certification and acceptance of the separate Prohair ambassador agreement. The agreement will explain the role, conduct expectations, term, brand use and any commercial conditions.

Must I purchase products or post about Prohair?

Final participation and ambassador terms will answer this before you accept. The recommended launch structure has no mandatory product order and does not require a positive testimonial, but those terms are not yet approved for publication as a final promise.

Does ambassador status include paid work or territory?

Not unless a separate written agreement expressly provides it. The training offer itself does not promise employment, income, clients, a franchise or exclusivity.

Can my salon send two people?

The proposed founding offer is one funded delegate per selected salon. Ask about future training opportunities for other colleagues; no additional funded place is assumed.

What language is used in Barcelona?

Delivery and assessment language are Coming soon and will be confirmed before places are accepted. Register your language preference when you enquire. The language of this website does not establish the teaching language.

Is registering interest the same as booking?

No. Interest registration does not reserve a place. Applications may open only after the material arrangements are approved, followed by Prohair review and a written offer with final details.
