Prohair Academy · European Founding Cohort · 2027

Bring a new skill to your salon. Help shape our next chapter.

Coming soon

Prohair began in Vancouver with a personal understanding of what a hair system can mean to the person wearing it. Now we are preparing our first European training cohorts in London and Barcelona—and inviting local salon professionals to be part of that beginning.

Five UK salons. Five Spanish salons. Three days of practical, in-person hair-system education in each city.

Professional foundation

You already know hair. Now learn the system behind a different service.

This programme is designed for working hairdressers and barbers with existing cutting skills who are new to men’s hair systems. You do not need to be an established hair-replacement provider. The course focuses on consultation, specification, fitting, cut-in, maintenance and continuing client care.

Why we are funding this first group.

As Prohair develops its European presence, we want to begin with skilled local professionals—not just a product catalogue. We are investing in a small first cohort so that the people representing the brand understand the craft, the client conversation and the responsibilities behind the service.

The invitation is not about having the largest following. It is about professional care, practical commitment and an interest in building a considered hair-system service in your own salon.

A service that can continue beyond the first fitting.

A client’s experience may include consultation, a first system, fitting and cutting, followed by appropriate maintenance, styling and future system replacement. The opportunity is to become a trusted professional for those ongoing needs—not to promise that every client will return on an identical schedule.

The course includes realistic service planning: appointment time, consumables, system costs, overheads, client acquisition and continuing care. Revenue is not profit, and no course can guarantee future earnings or demand for your salon.

Interest-only offer.

Training and Prohair-issued assessment and certification are proposed without tuition or certification fees for the selected 2027 founding cohort. Places are limited to one nominated professional from each selected salon. Certification follows successful assessment, not attendance alone.

Travel and accommodation are proposed exclusions. The complete inclusions, requirements and ambassador terms must be approved and displayed before applications open. While logistics are being finalised, registration is an expression of interest, not a confirmed booking.

Assessment and pathway

Earn the credential. Represent the care.

Successful individual assessment against the published attendance, knowledge and practical requirements leads to the proposed Prohair Certified Hair System Professional — Foundation certificate. Attendance alone never issues the certificate.

  1. Participate in all required sessions and complete necessary evidence. Missed content must be made up before certification; attendance is not competence.
  2. Achieve at least 80% on the proposed knowledge check. This is a proposed Prohair standard, not an external authority’s threshold.
  3. Demonstrate all required practical competencies through individual observed work, including the full fitting and cut-in evidence on Day 2 and further checks on Day 3.
  4. Pass every critical checkpoint: informed consent, appropriate suitability escalation, safe workspace and tools, actual product-instruction compliance, and proper aftercare and stop guidance.
  5. Submit an appropriate case record and client-care plan. Client images are optional and require separate permission.
  6. Receive a documented assessor decision of Competent or Not Yet Competent. The latter requires a clear supervised-development or reassessment route, with any charges and time commitments disclosed before enrolment.

Proposed practical rubric

  • Consultation and consent
  • Specification and plan
  • Preparation
  • Fit and attachment
  • Cutting and blending
  • Removal and maintenance
  • Aftercare and records

This is a private Prohair credential, not an Ofqual qualification, Spanish official vocational award, independently accredited qualification or government licence. Local practice, insurance and business obligations remain separate.

Ambassador appointment is separate. It follows successful technical certification and acceptance of the approved ambassador agreement. The role does not itself create employment, paid commissions, exclusive territory, a franchise, guaranteed clients or an obligation to provide a positive testimonial.

Certified graduates and ambassadors may apply separately for Prohair Professional access, product supply, technical resources, continuing education, future professional-directory participation and wholesale terms. Approval is not automatic.

Vancouver to Europe

The reason behind the invitation.

I started losing my hair at 23. I understood the practical questions—what would suit me, how it would feel and how I would look after it—but I also understood how personal those questions could be.

That experience helped shape Prohair in Vancouver. What matters to me is not simply handing someone a hair system. It is giving them a clearer conversation, a considered fit and an understanding of what comes next.

As we prepare to introduce Prohair in Europe, I want to work with salon professionals who care about those details. London and Barcelona are the beginning of that plan. This first proposed training cohort is an invitation to learn the method, contribute your experience and help us build the brand responsibly in your community.

Programme questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need previous hair-system experience?

No previous system-installation experience is proposed as a prerequisite. Existing professional cutting and client-care skills are required; the course is not a complete beginner hairdressing qualification.

Is the programme free?

Training and Prohair-issued assessment and certification fees are proposed as funded for the selected 2027 launch cohort. The approved full offer will identify every required item and excluded expense before applications open. Travel and accommodation are proposed exclusions.

Why is Prohair doing this?

We are preparing to introduce the brand in Europe and want to begin with a small group of local professionals who understand the systems and the care behind the service.

Will I be certified simply by attending?

No. You must meet the published attendance, knowledge and individual practical assessment requirements. Where further development is needed, the assessor will explain the next steps.

Is this government-accredited?

No external recognition is claimed. The certificate is issued by Prohair for the stated programme and assessed scope. It does not replace local professional, insurance or business requirements.

When do I become an ambassador?

Only after successful technical certification and acceptance of the separate Prohair ambassador agreement. The agreement will explain the role, conduct expectations, term, brand use and any commercial conditions.

Must I purchase products or post about Prohair?

Final participation and ambassador terms will answer this before you accept. The recommended launch structure has no mandatory product order and does not require a positive testimonial, but those terms are not yet approved for publication as a final promise.

Does ambassador status include paid work or territory?

Not unless a separate written agreement expressly provides it. The training offer itself does not promise employment, income, clients, a franchise or exclusivity.

Can my salon send two people?

The proposed founding offer is one funded delegate per selected salon. Ask about future training opportunities for other colleagues; no additional funded place is assumed.

What language is used in Barcelona?

Delivery and assessment language are Coming soon and will be confirmed before places are accepted. Register your language preference when you enquire. The language of this website does not establish the teaching language.

Is registering interest the same as booking?

No. Interest registration does not reserve a place. Applications may open only after the material arrangements are approved, followed by Prohair review and a written offer with final details.
